Ladies: Reading Might be Hazardous to our Public Image by Diana Flegal

Are books soon going to come with a warning?

Let me explain.

When women reach a certain age, they begin to Google things like;

  •  How to eliminate wrinkles and fine lines.
  • How do I get rid of this turkey neck?
  • Why do I have such dark circles under my eyes?

At least this is what my older friends tell me. Ahem…

Well, a recent study seems to have proven that a steady diet of reading increases the wrinkles in our necks. This is due to us having our head lowered to see the book in our hands. And staying up all night to finish the book you can’t put down—yep, you got it—equals dark under eye circles.

We ladies are being penalized while we improve our minds and relationships!

We need a spin doctor to fix this. Can we possibly turn this into a positive?

Consider these future online profiles:

  • The deep wrinkled neck of this beauty tells you she is intelligent and well read.
  • Find your match: Huge profile list of neck wrinkled ladies showcasing dark under eye circles.

You get the idea.

Until then ladies, you might want to hold your eReader or book a little higher.

Disclaimer: This seems to only affect the delicate skin and public image of a woman. When a man develops neck wrinkles (which a lower percent seem to do), he is considered roughed and ‘hot’. Go figure.

Life isn’t always fair. Just sayin.
